More matches in Poland?By: M. WygralakWednesday 12 May 2010 20:50
"We are concentrating on the variant with four cities in Poland, four in Ukraine. If four cities cannot be prepared in Ukraine, we will think about possible solutions. One of them is playing a larger number of matches in Poland. I am not saying that extra cities would come into play - after all, it is possible to play a tournament at four stadiums." Thus spoke Martin Kallen at a meeting with representatives of the media during a visit to Warsaw. He also mentioned that Poland is more advanced in its preparations than Ukraine. His statement is related to the warning on Monday by President of UEFA Michel Platini, who said that the patience of the organisation as regards Ukraine is beginning to run out and that late completion of the stadium in Kiev may lead to a response by the federation.
