On Sunday 13 June the Friendly Stadium picnic took place at the stadium site, organised by EURO Poznań 2012 and Wielkopolskie Centrum Rehabilitacji, Great Poland Rehabilitation Centre. The goal of the organisers was promoting integration among children, both healthy children and children not fully fit, and encouraging physical activity through sport, dance and fun.

From 10am to 5pm anyone wishing to make use of specialist medical consultations could do so free of charge at the Rehabilitation Centre. At midday in a car park at the stadium site the Mayor of Poznań Ryszard Grobelny opened the event. He also appointed the fourth Ambassador for Poznań, the actor Kasia Bujakiewicz, the first woman to join this circle. Appearing on stage were the band Lombard with friends Marek Siwek and Agnieszka Kubicka, while inspiring all to dance were the folk group Wielkopolanie. The children later sang with Duet Magnus and Zespoł Na Walizkach. The organisers had prepared numerous competitions and games, one of the competitions run by Bartek Bosacki, captain of Lech Poznań.

At 12:30pm an entrance to the stadium was opened, between stands III and IV, with visitors able to see for themselves the progress in the construction work. The tour route ran along the turf, through the players' tunnel and into the Lech Club hall, where it was possible to get a close look at the trophy won by Lech as Champions of Poland this year.

The event was attended by 15,000 visitors.
